This past weekend, The World Upside Down spent some time in New York City, playing at local open mic’s, writing new material, booking additional shows (check the Shows tab for info!) and exploring the urban landscape that Manhattan and Brooklyn have to offer.
Check out this YouTube video of the band looking back at their time in NY:
The band also completed work on their brand-new custom built rehearsal space. Take a virtual tour of the studio, led by the band, by watching the video below!

I recently had the pleasure of making two radio show appearances where i was able to talk about the band and even perform one of our songs solo! The first interview was on 89.5 WSOU, Seton Hall’s hard rock and heavy metal station. Yup- hard rock and heavy metal. I was a fish out of water there but it was nevertheless a cool opportunity to share about our band and have one of our songs (Dreams) played over the airwaves! The name of the radio show that hosted me was Out of Babylon. It’s a Christian Metal show DJed by Michael Thunell. One person called in and noted a similarity between my voice and James Taylor’s! The second radio show was Radio Gabrielle, a Catholic talk show hosted by Gabby Furmato, a friend of mine. Gabby had me on the show to talk about my music and my faith journey. Halfway through the interview we stopped so I could perform a song in the studio. I played an original called I Wanna Know You. Both shows were fun. Being on the radio was a whole new experience for me. The soundproof rooms lined with black sound-absorbing foam. The large microphones that swivel on metal arms attached to desks. Controller boards aglow with a multitude LED lights. The odd feeling of speaking to a single person in a private room while numerous people could be tuning in. Anyone care to share about their experiences being on the radio? Feel free to post comments. By the way- the show I did with Gabby hasn’t aired yet! If you’d like to hear it, it will air on Friday April 20th at 5pm on 89.3 FM / 1260 AM. The station is based in Trenton and has a pretty small broadcast radius. Luckily, the station is also available via the Internet.www.domesticchurchmedia.org. They have a smartphone app if you want to listen on the go! Peace and blessings. - Isaac
